Local Rutgers Chabad Mourns Loss of Sister Chabad in Mumbai

Rutgers Alumni Steve Schwartz RU ’99 speaks to almost 200 students at the Chabad House on College Avenue. The candle lighting vigil provided students the opportunity to speak out against the horrific act of terrorist that took place in Mumbai, India last week, and to mourn the brutal murder of Chabad of Mumbai Directors Rabbi Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg and their guests during the attack. Representatives from President Bush, President-elect Obama, Governor Corzine and Rutgers President McCormick read letters of support and condolences at the tribute. Students filled out “Mitzvah Cards” pledging to increase in acts of goodness and kindness to help bring Moshiach in response to the senseless acts of hate displayed in India by the terrorists.
